The Coen Brothers, Joel and Ethan, have written many films all in different genres. From "True Grit" (2010) a story set in the wild west of America to "The Big Lebowski" (1998) a comedy with "Dude" which like many of the Coen Brother's films has got a cult following.
Some of the Coen Brothers' most famous films are:
- "Burn After Reading" (2008) (starring some of Hollywood's most sought after actors like; George Clooney, Brad Pitt and John Malkovich)
- "Paris Je T'Aime" (2006) (a film linking different people from different lifestyles in Paris)
- "No Country For Old Men" (2007) (like many of the Coen Brother's films won 4 Oscars)
- "A Serious Man" (2009) (Many of the Coen Brother's films are dark comedy's "A Serious Man" being on one of them.)
- "Intolerable Cruelty" (2003) (A story of a goldigging woman who her ex-husband's lawyer falls for)
- "The Ladykillers" (2004) (A comedy starring Tom Hanks and J.K. Simmons)
- "Fargo" (1996) (Starring Frances McDormand as a pregnany police woman)
- "Raising Arizona" (1987) (Nicolas Cage and Holly Hunter star in this comedy about kidnapping a baby)
- "True Grit" (2010) (Nominated for 10 Oscars including nomination for Haille Stienfeld for leading actress at the age of 14)
- "A Woman, a Gun and a Noodle Shop" (2009) (A film about a man who's planning to kill his wife and the man she's having an affair with, although it does not go according to plan)
